The Fastnet Race is an iconic event that captures the imagination and stirs the blood of all sailors young and old but never more so than here and now because 2012 is the year the Pilot Cutters come back to do battle against each other in these historic waters! You simply can’t miss it!

Monday is race training day followed by Pre-race supper.
Tuesday is Race day from Falmouth to The Fastnet Rock off Southern Ireland
Friday June 1st – Prize giving in Ireland TBA.
A Message from… The Bristol Channel Pilot Cutter Owners Association
Race starts from Falmouth on Tuesday 29th May and finishes at The Fastnet Rock. There are three classes to suit all types of pilot cutter.
The Fastnet Cup will be awarded to first boat on handicap, there will be prizes for the first boat on handicap for each class and the Fastnet Trophy for line honours.
A pre-race supper will be held at The Royal Cornwall Yacht Club on Monday 28th May sponsored by Cockwells Modern and Classic Boatbuilding. The prize giving will be in Ireland on Friday 1st June. Depart Ireland or join us for our ‘Ireland Adventure’?

Prices £750 per head to include all meals and Regatta entry fees. The beer is extra! This is an Offshore race and as such requires a certain level of general fitness.
