An Amazing Skippered Yacht Charter Experience

Polly Agatha, a Bristol Cutter, offers a stunning sailing charter experience in the ‘traditional style’! She is also very comfortable and luxurious. She can accommodate 8 guests sleeping overnight or 12 people for sailing during the day. This means she is fantastic for entertaining corporate clients as well as friends and family.

The waters of the Solent have long been a magnet for the experienced sailor in search of challenges – this is the home of the world-famous Cowes Week Regatta – whilst also providing plenty of opportunity for more gentle sailing.

Combine all this with our luxury 12 bed ‘Crew-house’ in Cowes and we really can cater for all of your requirements.

All charter fees include the services of one of our fully qualified skippers, both of whom are Commercially Endorsed RYA/MCA Yachtmasters.

Kim Hartley who owns the company has been sailing for 40 years and is a tremendous Classic Boat enthusiast who also sails a 1906 Gaff Yawl (Cygnet of London) which he is busy renovating.

Alex Day is a RYA Yachtmaster Instructor. Alex has a family of four which he says explains his sense of humour and endless patience when teaching!

Finally, come sailing with Polly Agatha and you will appreciate why every other yacht in the Solent stops and stares at the truly brilliant spectacle that is a fully powered Pilot Cutter cleaving her way through the water under full sail. There is quite simply no better yacht on the South coast to bring a smile to your face!

Sailing in the Solent

The protected waters of the Solent offer a unique and challenging sailing yacht charter experience. In the summer, local sea breezes prevail and there is a tidal range of 4 metres. Moorings are generally in well-equipped marinas. The South Coast of England is all about sailing, and you will find the coastline well-populated with like-minded sailors, well-stocked chandleries and excellent facilities. And for those who wish to explore further afield, France and the Channel Islands are within easy reach.
